Tchik | Nicolas Martynciow | Live at Buma CC!

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE – The live stream performance took place during the “Buma Classical Convention 2014” on the 29th of November 2014 in TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht, The Netherlands. http://www.bumastemra.nl/

ABOUT THE PIECE – Tchik is a solo percussion work written for solo Snare Drum. During the performance, there is only one Snare Drum and only one performer on the whole stage, which gives an impression of unexpectedness. But then… the performer starts to explore the Snare Drum with three different kinds of mallets/beaters, from different angles, sounds, edges, stands, etc… And in time when it seems like all the sound limitations are broken, comes a new one, the human element – Voice. And then the fun begins…
